Optimization-Based Modal Decomposition for Systems with Multiple Transports

چکیده

Mode-based model-reduction is used to reduce the degrees of freedom high-dimensional systems, often by describing system state a linear combination spatial modes. Transport dominated phenomena, ubiquitous in technical and scientific applications, require large number modes obtain small representation error. This difficulty, even for most simple transports, originates from inappropriateness decomposition structure time dependent amplitudes purely In this article an approach discussed that decomposes flow field into several fields co-moving frames, where each one can be approximated few The central aspect report transparent formulation as optimization problem. Different singular-value-based objective functions are connected former formulations. A boundary treatment provided. applied generic cases technically relevant configuration combustion physics.

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

Model reduction for LPV systems based on approximate modal decomposition

The paper presents a novel model order reduction technique for large-scale linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. The approach is based on decoupling the original dynamics into smaller dimensional LPV subsystems that can be independently reduced by parameter varying reduction methods. The decomposition starts with the construction of a modal transformation that separates the modal subsystems. ...

Multiple Systems for Modal Cognition

The capacity for representing and reasoning over sets of possibilities, or modal cognition, has long been understood as central to many high level judgments. To date, however, little empirical research has sought to directly investigate the connection between these high-level judgments and the underlying cognition that allows humans to represent and reason over sets of possibilities. The presen...

Domain Decomposition Evolutionary Algorithm for Multi-Modal Function Optimization

The Simple Genetic Algorithm (SGA) is applied more and more extensively since it was proposed by J. H. Holland [1] in 1970’s. SGA is an optimization method based on population by emulating the evolvement disciplinarian of the nature. It has showed the great advantage of quick search for optimal solutions while applied in the optimization of single-modal functions. But as we all know many proble...

Smooth Orthogonal Decomposition for Modal Analysis of Randomly Excited Systems ⋆

Modal parameter estimation in terms of natural frequencies and mode shapes is studied using smooth orthogonal decomposition for randomly excited vibration systems. This work shows that under certain conditions, the smooth orthogonal decomposition eigenvalue problem formulated from white noise induced response data can be tied to the unforced structural eigenvalue problem, and thus can be used f...
